Kokuminshukusha Shodoshima Hotel

Had a great city break staying at a hilltop lodge with stunning sunset views. Loved the spacious and comfortable room with semi-double beds. the amenities like yukata, towels, fridge, and safe were included, which was very useful. the friendly staff gave helpful sightseeing advice that was much appreciated.

Although the dinner and breakfast were adequate, they didn't meet our expectations compared to other hotels. we missed having a rental bike option, as the hotel is on top of the hill and not much around.

Gorgeous ocean views from the hilltop location. The hotel provides convenient shuttle bus services to the nearest port and bus station. Clean and cozy room with a comfortable bed. Friendly staff and excellent hot spring facilities.

The hotel had nice views and comfortable beds. It was also conveniently located near the beach and hiking trails.

The hotel felt outdated and was not very well-maintained. The shower was not very clean and the staff seemed uninterested in helping us with our needs. It was also frustrating that there was no Wi-Fi in the rooms and that we had to constantly go to the lobby to use internet. our stay here was disappointing.

We had a great stay perched on top of a hill with spectacular ocean views, and they provided a shuttle to the port. the comfortable room had a lovely ocean view, which we enjoyed drawing back the curtains to see. the staff was very helpful, from taking us to the bus stop to arranging an astronomical telescope to see the ring of Saturn. We loved the relaxing hot spring.

Although the hotel had a shuttle service, it was not as close to the bus station or port as we would have liked.

Terrific view, excellent Japanese breakfast, star-gazing, great bath view, shuttle service, kind staff.
